Jonathan Held: Jonathan Held, A.I.A., is a 1988 graduate of the Cooper Union School of Architecture and has been primarily a freelance, self-employed architect, working either solo or with firms as diverse as Nine Square Design (Anthony Tsirantonakis Architect); Held & Rubin (Mr. Held’s architect father); Emery Roth & Sons; SLCE Architects (where he was a full-time employee for exactly one year, detailing the curtain wall of the Grand Millenium condominium at 1965 Broadway in Manhattan); Roy Gee Associates (for whom he worked in the former Portuguese enclave of Macau in 1995 on the Praia Grande development) ; Tsao & McKown Architects (where his projects included the Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel; NYC Grand Central Station’s Metrazur Restaurant; and the Berlin Friedrichstrasse Department Store).  He is licensed in New York State, New Jersey and Connecticut. If he had any free time, he would devote it to restoring damaged mid- 20th century furniture that he finds on the sidewalks of Brooklyn, attending sporting events, fly-fishing, tending his koi pond, and raking his miniature Zen garden.

Ivan Saavedra: A 1994 graduate of the school of architecture at San Buenaventura University in Colombia, Ivan is one of the best-kept secrets in New York City architectural circles, specializing in all the un-glamourous tasks that most architects run away from: tax lot combinations, Fire Department filings, public assembly permits, sidewalk bridge permits, Department of Transportation filings, RPZ cross-connection filings, you name it. When not saving the day, Ivan raises chickens and ducks on his property in the Copake region of upstate New York.

Futaba Sunderland: A filing representative with fifteen years’ experience obtaining NYC Department of Buildings approvals and sign-offs for projects large and small, Futaba is also our in-house landscape designer, drawing on her experience as a one-time employee of Rhode Island’s famed Green Animals topiary. She collects sea glass in her spare time.
